Bandhgala questions
What's the difference between a bandhgala and a jodhpuri suit?
A bandhgala is the closed, stand-collar jacket. A jodhpuri suit is a bandhgala jacket worn with matching trousers (traditionally jodhpur breeches, today usually straight trousers). So in practice, a jodhpuri suit is a bandhgala suit. We make both, with matching or contrast trousers.
How much does a bandhgala or jodhpuri suit cost?
₹15,000 for the jacket and trousers, made to your measurements, with the cloth included. A pocket square is ₹499 extra. A bundi (Nehru jacket) is ₹7,500.
Can I get an open jodhpuri (open-front bandhgala)?
Our bandhgala is the classic closed front, with your choice of vents and pockets. If you have an open-front style in mind, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it for your date.
Which colours are popular for a bandhgala?
Ivory, cream and black lead for weddings; midnight blue and navy for receptions and formal dinners; bottle green and maroon for a sangeet. All 15 of our colours cost the same.
Is a bandhgala different from a Nehru jacket or bundi?
Yes. A Nehru jacket (bundi) is sleeveless and worn over a kurta or shirt. A bandhgala has full sleeves and is worn as the jacket of a suit.
Jodhpuri suit price in Delhi: why does it vary so much?
Readymade jodhpuri suits in stores run roughly ₹10,000–25,000, and bespoke designer ones go far higher. Local tailors often quote stitching only, with cloth bought separately. Our price is fixed and includes the cloth, the home visit and free alterations.
